Sharp (San Carlos, California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful I bought this for my daughter since PBS stopped running the show a couple of years ago and she had no memories of it. I watched it faithfully as a child, and hoped she would like it as much as I did when I was 4. I am happy to say she enjoyed it even more than I expected. As quaint as Mr. Rogers seems in these days of fairly sophisticated children's animation and programming in general, the themes of the show (friendship and love) are still universal for kids, and told in a gentle, simple, straightforward, but never-condescending way. I am very happy with this dvd, except for the fact that there aren't more shows included on it. In fact, there only seem to be a couple more surviving shows transferred to a couple of disks, and I wonder where the many decade's worth of daily shows ended up. Since this particular dvd was only available through Amazon.com sellers, I had to shop and thankfully got a very good deal. Prices vary wildly without much justification.
